Our Story

We are a group of professional pastry cooks, bakers and chefs from the San Francisco East Bay. We want to see an end to racial injustice in America, and like so many others, feel that we’ve reached a tipping point and can no longer be silent. Using our culinary skills we raise money for organizations that are doing important work to fight racism. We want to strengthen the bonds of community that exist within the East Bay food industry and with those who enjoy the fruits of our labor. Together we are stronger!

 On June 20, 2020, we came together to participate in the worldwide virtual bake sale created by Bakers Against Racism. We raised over $11,000 and donated it to Black Organizing Project and Anti Police Terror Project, two Oakland-based organizations working towards local positive change. On August 1st we had our second bake sale and raised $5,000 for Insight Garden Program, a Berkeley organization that supports incarcerated and transitioning individuals and is performing essential covid-19 related services to this vulnerable population. Our next bake sale on October 3rd, 2020, will benefit Black Voters Matter Fund, a group that is dedicated to empowering Black communities through voting.
